Thank you for visiting the “Lost Pets” page of the Humane Society of Catawba County. If you believe you may be the owner to one of the listed lost pets below, please contact the shelter phone at 828-464-8878 or email kaitlyn@catawbahumane.org for more information on reclaiming an animal. We do require proof of ownership to reclaim a pet; proof includes photos and/or vet records on the lost pet. Generally, the Humane Society of Catawba County does not take in stray animals. We are by appointment only for owner surrenders in the community, but the occasional stray animal does come into the Humane Society. To locate your lost pet, or if you have questions about how to handle stray animals that you may find, please contact the county shelter (Catawba County Animal Services) at 828-466-6814 for more information. Please note that we are two different animal shelters in Catawba County. While the Humane Society of Catawba County does not generally take strays in, we are happy to be on the lookout for your stray pet. To keep them on our radar, please email kaitlyn@catawbahumane.org with your pet’s information and photos.
In addition to checking with the county shelter and Humane Society of Catawba County’s “Lost Pets” page, please be sure to keep up with Facebook lost and found pet groups around the area, as well as Paw Boost’s online profiles on missing and found pets.
