Your New Family Member is Waiting
Animals Available for Adoption
Welcome to the Humane Society of Catawba County's pet adoption page, where dogs and cats are waiting to find their forever homes. As a no-kill shelter serving Catawba County and the surrounding communities, we are committed to caring for our animals until the right family comes along.
Our available pets come from many backgrounds — some are strays who were never reclaimed, others are beloved pets whose families could no longer care for them. Each animal receives veterinary care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip, so they are healthy and ready to become a cherished member of your family.
Browse our adoptable pets below to see photos and read about each animal's personality and needs. When you find one you would like to meet, come visit us during our open hours — our doors are open, and our staff will help guide you through the adoption process to find the right match for your home and lifestyle.
Adoption Fees
Every adoption fee helps cover the veterinary care each pet receives before going home. Dog and cat adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, initial vaccinations (including Bordetella for dogs), a rabies vaccination, one dose of deworming medication, a microchip, and a complimentary health exam by participating veterinary offices.
