Welcome to our grant programs page, where we are committed to enhancing the well-being of pets and their families in our community. Spaying and neutering are essential for controlling the pet population, preventing unwanted litters, and promoting healthier lives for our furry companions. However, we understand that the costs associated with these procedures can be overwhelming for many households. That’s why we offer a range of income assistance grants designed to alleviate this financial burden. By providing these grants, we aim to empower pet owners to take responsible steps toward pet care, ultimately fostering a healthier and more compassionate community.
*All grants are for owned pets only, this does not include rescues or ferals.

This grant offers additional coverage for the following services:

Service Information
Advantage Multi (2-18lbs) A topical solution that kills and prevents fleas, ticks, heartworms, intestinal parasites, and ear mites for 1 month. Will be given to cats who need it to better their health.
Blood Work Required for animals over the age of 6 years to ensure health before undergoing surgery.
Capstar A 24-hour treatment to kill adult fleas. Will be given to cats who have active fleas that must be killed to keep the surgery as sterile as possible.
Convenia (2-30lbs)  An injectable antibiotic that is given to cats with wounds or infections to better their health.
Cryptorchid Surgical Charges If a male cat is a cryptorchid, it means that either one or both of their testicles have not descended completely into the scrotum. These surgeries can be more invasive, thus requiring more medical supplies and surgical time.
Droncit Injection (2-50lbs) Droncit (also known as praziquantel) is an injection that treats tapeworm infections in cats. Tapeworms come from the ingestion of fleas. If a cat has visible tapeworms during surgical preparation, they will be treated for them.
Ear Cleaning and Mite Treatment If a cat has visibly dirty ears, those ears will be cleaned and treated without cost to the owner.
Hernia Repair If a cat has an open hernia, it will be repaired without cost to the owner. If the hernia is closed, it is up to the individual veterinarian’s preference whether it will be repaired or not.
Pregnancy (1st, 2nd and 3rd Trimester) All female cats who are pregnant will still undergo the spay operation. All pregnancies will be medically aborted. Additional pregnancy charges are at no cost to the owner.
