How to schedule surgery at Foothills Spay/Neuter Clinic

  • Registration for spay/neuter services may be done in person at Humane Society of Catawba County, or by phone (828) 464-8878 Monday-Friday 11am-6pm, and Saturday 11am-4pm.
  • You must bring proof of a rabies vaccine, the certificate of veterinary medical record, or your pet will receive another rabies vaccine during surgery for $10 fee.
  • If your pet is over 3 months of age and has never had a rabies vaccine, you will be required to have a vaccine given during surgery.
  • Payment for surgical services MUST be made at the time of registration to reserve your pet’s appointment. We take most major credit cards over the phone, and credit card, cash or check in person..
  • Surgery at Foothills Spay/Neuter Clinic is a same day procedure.
  • The night before your appointment, withhold food from your pet after 10:00PM; water may be given.
  • On the day of surgery, arrive at Humane Society of Catawba County 7:30-8:30 a.m. for surgery check-in. Animals arriving after 8:45 a.m. will be rescheduled. Check-in is done by “Drive-Through.” Please take your place in line in front of the building and remain in your vehicle with your animal(s). Our staff will come to you to complete paperwork and collect your pet(s).
  • Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a carrier. Carriers must be labeled with the cat’s name and your last name.
  • Post-operative instructions will be given to you at time of pick-up in addition to any prescribed medications. Additional surgical charges due to complications or charges for requested additional services by you will be explained to you fully. Payment for any additional charges/services can be made from your vehicle by cash, credit card or check.
