HSCC WILL BE SELLING LIME AND ORANGE SLICES TO GO IN THE CORONAS AND BLUE MOONS THAT THE JAYCEES ARE SELLING. IT'S AT UNION SQUARE IN DOWNTOWN HICKORY AND THERE WILL BE VENDORS, BANDS AND FOOD EVERY WEEK. IT'S A LOT OF FUN AND WE RAISE LOTS OF MONEY FOR OUR ANIMALS! STOP BY AND SAY HELLO!! |

COME JOIN US FOR OUR "DOG DAYS OF SUMMER" EVENT HERE AT OUR FACILITY. WE WILL BE HAVING A YARD SALE, BAKE SALE, ANIMAL VENDORS, FOOD AND BEVERAGES FOR SALE, DOG TRAINING, A VACCINE CLINIC (9AM-NOON BY APPT ONLY) GOING ON. PLEASE COME BY AND BRING YOUR DOG(S) FOR A FUN DAY!! |

Thanks to all the wonderful vendors that filled the Marketplace with incredible items to purchase and created a fun shopping environment for both animals and people!
Our 5th annual DogJog was a great success, Our Rabies Clinic gave out several low cost rabies vaccinations and provided microchips, Our Dog Art booth proved to be great fun for several doggies, most all the dogs had their paws read by Madame Pawlooza, and many home baked doggie treats and numerous yummy people baked goods, and the Hot Dog Grill raised money for HSCC. Our 7th annual Poochie Fashion Show was a spectacular success and was truly enjoyable for everyone! As with previous years, all of the top winners, unknown to the judges, were actually ex-shelter dogs! Thanks again to our judges for their participation! A good time was had by all. We raised around $4100 and all these funds will be used to rescue, test, vaccinate, spay/neuter, care for and adopt the shelter dogs and cats into forever homes.
Thanks to Riverbend Park for the use of their fabulous dog park! Our shelter dogs had the time of their lives running around and wrestling with each other in the wonderful big fenced in area!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended or supported our 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament at Rock Barn Golf & Spa.
We had a great turnout with 54 teams! We even had a $5000 putt winner. Steve Vacendack sunk a 50 ft. putt to win!
Funds raised at this event will be used to rescue, test, vaccinate, spay/neuter, care for and adopt the shelter dogs and cats into forever homes.
